Team Finland visit to the United Arab Emirates

Finnish companies have solutions that will help the country to achieve the ambitious targets in sectors such as waste management, waste to energy, sustainable use of resources and other circular economy areas. As an example, UAE is one of the highest producers of MSW per capita and majority of it ends up in the landfills.

The UAE economy, the 2nd largest in Gulf economy, has recovered well from the dual shock created by the pandemic and hydrocarbon pricing in 2020. As always, UAE serves as a gateway to the wider GCC market with a young population, no taxation on personal income, free zones across the various Emirates, and ability to invest in advanced technologies.

Mr. Mika Lintilä, Minister of Economic Affairs of Finland, will visit the UAE with a Team Finland business delegation on 4 – 7 October 2021. This visit will be the first Minister led physical Team Finland visit since the Covid pandemic started. The goal of the visit is to foster relations between the two countries, as well as offer an excellent opportunity for Finnish companies to establish high-level business connections with companies in the UAE.

Ms. Nina Eriksson was arranging business delegation visit program in Dubai and Abu Dhabi together with Business Finland.
